Manuka Honey

Why Manuka Honey?

Manuka Honey is AMAZING!! It’s produced in New Zealand from bees that pollinate the Manuka bush. This honey is very special and one of the most beneficial! Researchers have discovered, Manuka has many more enzymes than regular honey. This is what makes it so special! These enzymes create a natural hydrogen peroxide that works as an antibacterial. This makes it great for healing sore throats, digestive illnesses, staph infections, and gingivitis. Also, it’s great for topical use as well!

How I discovered Manuka Honey?

Our dog was 13 years old when he developed a large skin boil on the side of his face. It appeared to be inflamed. It had a build up of pus and white stuff. Gross, I know! I tried peroxide, tea tree oil, and even cannabis oil. Nothing worked! So, I took him to the vet and they said they could remove it, however it would cost around $300 dollars plus medication. I felt there had to be a cheaper way. Plus, I would rather heal issues naturally! We left the vet, and I started doing research. I came across Manuka Honey and the effectiveness in healing sores topically. Off to the health food store I go. There, I came across a brand called Wedderspoon Raw Manuka Honey

The one shown in the picture below is what I bought. I went home, applied this to our dog’s sore and let it work it’s magic! Literally, we woke up the next morning, and the boil was gone! No joke! I couldn’t believe it!

In conclusion, dating back thousands of years, honey has been used for medicinal purposes. However, not all honey is created equal. Meaning, cheap high fructose corn syrup honey will not help you. Honey must be raw and real. Not SUGAR FILLED honey! It’s empowering to know, we don’t have to run to medication, doctors, hospitals, and even vets for minor issues! Manuka Honey, has become a staple in our house. The nutritional content is 4x’s that of normal flower honey. In other words, this honey is a powerhouse of nutrients and has incredible antibacterial strength!
